August 2026 Price Movement Report: 16 Skincare SKUs That Changed Price Since July

For skincare price increase Bangladesh August 2026, our check found a mixed month, not a clean category-wide hike. Six of the 16 tracked SKUs rose from our late-July baseline, mostly by ৳41–৳149. Ten fell because retailer sale prices deepened. The practical buyer read: August was a discount-cycle month, and the sale badge is not enough evidence of a deal.

This report uses our July 28, 2026 tracker capture as the baseline and August 20–31, 2026 checks as the movement close. We then rechecked Shajgoj store pages on September 6, 2026 for current listed price and availability signals, because several August prices had already moved again by publication time. Retailer listings are used here as price and stock evidence only, not as shop recommendations.

SERP check: what ranks for the primary query

Checked on September 6, 2026, the exact query “skincare price increase bangladesh august 2026” did not surface a clean, dedicated Bangladesh skincare price-movement report in the visible results available to our check. Related skincare-price results were mostly retailer category pages and product grids, including Zipper’s skincare price page, Beautysiaa’s face-care page and GlowBD’s Korean skincare page; BD Beauty Price’s own price archive also appeared for recent dated price trackers.

That ranking pattern matters. Product grids show today’s shelf price, but they rarely show whether the price rose, fell, or only lost a temporary discount.

The 16 skincare SKUs that moved

Movement below is based on checked selling price, not crossed-out list price. A product can show “33% off” and still be more expensive than it was last month. That is the part worth reading twice.

Current Shajgoj evidence for the COSRX rows comes from the Top COSRX page, where the opened listing showed the 50ml Salicylic cleanser at ৳499, Low pH 150ml at ৳1,080, Snail Cream 50gm at ৳999, Snail Cream 100gm at ৳1,840, BHA 100ml at ৳1,849 and Rice Overnight Mask at ৳1,599, with Add to Cart shown for those rows. The Ordinary rows come from Shajgoj’s Top The Ordinary page, which showed the 30ml niacinamide at ৳1,099 and Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 at ৳1,799.

For the serum rows, Shajgoj’s serums category showed AXIS-Y 50ml at ৳1,249, Anua 30ml at ৳2,400, the budget 10% niacinamide serum at ৳520 and other active-serum prices on September 6 captures; separate product pages confirmed AXIS-Y and Cos De BAHA TN details, while the Anua 30ml product page showed ৳2,400 from ৳3,500 and Add to Cart. For sunscreen and face-wash checks, Shajgoj pages showed the local SPF 50 sunscreen at ৳549, the hydrating hyaluronic acid face wash at ৳335, CeraVe 454gm out of stock at ৳3,920, and the local SPF 40 sunscreen at ৳420 but out of stock in the captured product page.

What changed: discount depth, not only sticker price

The August movement splits into three buckets.

The cleanest price decreases were COSRX Low pH 150ml, COSRX Salicylic Cleanser 50ml, WishCare sunscreen and Cos De BAHA TN. The increases were smaller but more annoying: The Ordinary Niacinamide moved from the sub-৳1,000 July point to ৳1,099, and the Anua 30ml serum sat at ৳2,400 on the September 6 recheck.

My read: August was not a broad skincare inflation event. It was a sale-cycle month. That still matters to buyers because sale cycles decide whether a basket costs ৳2,400 or ৳2,700.

The price increase most buyers will actually feel

The Ordinary Niacinamide is the obvious one. At ৳999, it sits in a psychologically cleaner bracket. At ৳1,099, it needs a fresh comparison against the wider 30ml and 50ml niacinamide market, not just the retailer’s crossed-out ৳1,650 figure. Shajgoj’s current listing showed The Ordinary 30ml at ৳1,099, while our separate niacinamide tracker has already shown why price-per-ml changes the ranking.

That does not make The Ordinary bad value automatically. It means the “33% off” badge is not enough evidence. If last month’s checked price was lower, the buyer is paying more today, badge or no badge.

Sunscreen: cheaper August prices, but stock decides the outcome

The sunscreen rows moved mostly downward in August. The local SPF 40 PA+++ 60gm tube fell from our July baseline of ৳495 to ৳420, a local SPF 50 PA+++ 60gm tube held around the ৳549 sale point in the current checks, WishCare fell to ৳820 in the August 20 matrix, and Missha Aqua Sun Gel was recorded at ৳999 with low stock. Our wider August sunscreen tracker put full-size sunscreen in Bangladesh at roughly ৳420 to ৳1,600+, with the local 60gm tubes at the bottom and imported Korean or European SPF 50+ PA++++ formulas at the top.

The decision is simple: buy a discounted sunscreen only if the live page confirms stock and the expiry date gives you enough time to finish it. Sunscreen is a daily-use item; a low price on a short-dated tube can be false economy.

K-beauty: small month-to-month moves sit inside a wider shop spread

For K-beauty, the monthly move can be smaller than the cross-shop spread. Our August Korean skincare index found the same COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence 100ml listed from ৳1,450 to ৳1,900 across Bangladeshi sellers on August 14, a ৳450 spread on one SKU.

That makes a ৳69 rise on COSRX BHA 100ml or a ৳41 rise on COSRX Snail Cream 100gm worth noting, but not worth panic-buying over. Open a second listing before paying. If the spread is larger than the “discount,” the discount is just decoration.

Buy now, wait or skip

The dry rule: if the August saving is under ৳100, do not rush. If the August saving is ৳200–৳420 and the product is in stock, expiry is acceptable, and you already use it, that is a real price event.
