Why a team byline
Price tracking is teamwork: one person records marketplace listings, another confirms a counter price, another maintains the tables. Crediting a single name would be inaccurate — and inventing named personas with stock-photo faces, as some sites do, would be dishonest. So the work is signed by the team, and the team is accountable for it at[email protected].
What the team does by hand
- Records current prices in ৳ from sellers' public listings and, where practical, physical counters in Dhaka.
- Matches variants (size, shade, formulation) so a table never compares a 50 ml price against a 100 ml price.
- Flags suspicious listings — too-cheap stock, unclear authenticity, missing importer info — instead of averaging them in.
- Writes verdicts against the price a Bangladeshi buyer actually pays, and re-checks tables on a rolling schedule.
Standards every article must meet
- A visible "prices checked on" date. No undated prices, ever.
- Multiple sellers per price table wherever the product is sold in more than one place.
- Verdicts that can be negative. "Skip it at this price" is a normal outcome here.
