Every article on this site carries a named byline from the team below, and every price in it passes an editor's fact-check before publish. This page is who does what — and the standards they all work to.

Writers

  • Tasnim Chowdhury — Price Tracking, Data & Price News. Tasnim runs BD Beauty Price's price-tracking desk. She logs shelf and online prices for the same products across Bangladeshi retailers, watches for quiet price hikes and fake discounts, and turns the spreadsheets into readable buying advice.
  • Rakibul Islam — Buying Guides. Rakibul writes the buying guides — which sunscreen for a daily bus commute in Dhaka heat, which cleanser if your budget stops at ৳500. He frames every pick around a real situation and a real price, not a spec sheet.
  • Sharmin Sultana — Reviews. Sharmin covers reviews — weeks of actual use, cost per month worked out, and an honest cons section every time. If a product isn't worth its Bangladesh street price, she says so and names the cheaper alternative.

Editor

  • Adnan Kabir — Editing & Fact-check. Adnan edits BD Beauty Price. Every article's prices, dates and claims cross his desk before publish, and he owns the corrections policy — spot an outdated price and he wants to hear about it.

How an article gets made

  1. Price checks first. The writer records current prices in ৳ from sellers' public listings — and, where practical, physical counters in Dhaka — matching size, shade and formulation so comparisons are like-for-like.
  2. Writing. The article is written against those checked numbers: what things cost today, what that money otherwise buys, and whether the product is worth it at the Bangladeshi street price.
  3. Editor fact-check. Before publish, the editor re-verifies prices, dates and claims. Articles that pass a formal review carry a visible "Reviewed by" credit.
  4. Dated updates. Published tables are re-checked on a rolling schedule and the "prices checked on" date refreshed. Material corrections update the article openly.

Standards every article must meet

  • A visible "prices checked on" date. No undated prices, ever.
  • Multiple sellers per price table wherever the product is sold in more than one place.
  • Verdicts that can be negative. "Skip it at this price" is a normal outcome here.
