BD Beauty Price is run by an independent editorial team based in Bangladesh — see the mastheadfor who does what. The site is not owned by, affiliated with, or sponsored by any retailer, brand, distributor or marketplace. We do not sell products, we do not take payment for verdicts, and no seller sees an article before it is published. When we compare shops' prices, every shop is treated the same way: as a data point.

The team

• Tasnim Chowdhury — Price Tracking, Data & Price News. Tasnim runs BD Beauty Price's price-tracking desk. She logs shelf and online prices for the same products across Bangladeshi retailers, watches for quiet price hikes and fake discounts, and turns the spreadsheets into readable buying advice.
• Rakibul Islam — Buying Guides. Rakibul writes the buying guides — which sunscreen for a daily bus commute in Dhaka heat, which cleanser if your budget stops at ৳500. He frames every pick around a real situation and a real price, not a spec sheet.
• Sharmin Sultana — Reviews. Sharmin covers reviews — weeks of actual use, cost per month worked out, and an honest cons section every time. If a product isn't worth its Bangladesh street price, she says so and names the cheaper alternative.
• Adnan Kabir — Editor (Editing & Fact-check). Adnan edits BD Beauty Price. Every article's prices, dates and claims cross his desk before publish, and he owns the corrections policy — spot an outdated price and he wants to hear about it.

How prices are checked

Every price table on this site follows the same process:

1. Collect. For each product we record the current price from multiple sellers — typically at least three: large beauty e-commerce shops, general marketplaces, and where practical, physical counters and department stores in Dhaka.
2. Verify. A price only enters a table if it is publicly visible on the seller's listing (or confirmed at a counter) on the day we record it. We note the size/shade/variant so comparisons are like-for-like, and we flag listings that look like grey-market or suspiciously cheap stock rather than treating them as "the price".
3. Date. Every article shows a visible "prices checked on" date. An undated price is a rumour; we don't publish rumours.
4. Re-check. Price-tracker articles are re-checked and the updated date refreshed on a rolling basis — high-demand products more often, slow movers less often. If a table is older than its stated check date suggests it should be, that's a bug: tell us.

Editorial standards

• Prices are reported in Bangladeshi Taka (৳) exactly as observed, including delivery-relevant caveats where they change the real cost.
• "Worth it" verdicts weigh the Bangladeshi street price, not a foreign RRP converted at today's exchange rate.
• We say "not worth it at this price" when that is the finding. A verdict that can never be negative is an advertisement.
• Corrections are made openly: material fixes update the article's dates and are noted in the text.
• No named fake reviewers, no invented testing claims. What we checked, how, and when is stated in each article.

How the site is funded

The site may carry clearly separated advertising or affiliate links in the future; today it carries none. Either way, funding never buys a price, a ranking position or a verdict. Details are on theadvertising & affiliate disclosure page.
